Self Employment Program
The Self Employment program is a partnership with Alberta Employment, Immigration, and Industry that allows eligible participants to research and develop a viable business with the guidance of an experienced Self Employment Coordinator. You may be eligible to receive Employment Insurance benefits while you attend the training and benefits may be extended for a period of time while you start your business. The length and amount of your payments depends on your own personal Insurance Benefit claim. To determine eligibility for E.I benefits you must be assessed by and Alberta Employment, Immigration and Industry counsellor.
BOSS Youth Loan Program
BOSS (Borrow our Student Stash) is a loan program geared towards high school students allowing them to access up to $3000 interest free for a period of 6 months to start or expand a small business.
IBDE Program/BA Program
The Internet Business Development for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program is a 6 month online training program geared towards entrepreneurs with disabilities who are interested in web design and entrepreneurship.
The Business Abilities Program is also a 6 month online training program for entrepreneurs with disabilities providing participants with the skills and tools to go into business.
